AFTER CREATING THE PERFECT PLAN, I THREW IT ALL AWAY AND DECIDED TO TRUST.

The perfect plan: an investor project for a large sum of money with pitch decks, attractive ROI, legal contracts, financial, projections, strategies and management systems… 

I realised that non of these things have a place in a mystery school. Especially such a successful school that originated from a flat broke therapist living in a VW van who simply believed in the power of what he was doing, of the work, of humanity’s innate ability to love more and be better than yesterday.  

So I released all attachments to what I want the ‘Centre for Kundalini Bodywork’ to be and came back to listening to what is happening in the present.

The dream and direction are still there, but once again, they are balanced with surrender to what is, and in greater harmony with what the collective consciousness needs. 

Aims 

• To be a transient community of transformation for those wishing to learn Kundalini Bodywork to heal and those willing to share their practice (to teach others to heal).

• A centre for holistic health practices where healing is the path to awakening (and awakening the path to enlightenment).

• To feel like a Burning Man festival is happening in your living room during your college semester abroad, focused on the art of self-healing. 

Financing:

• To be a self-sustaining model, run on donations from the people who stay there which creates abundance as we have already healed our greed, learnt to grow with nature and teach people to do the same. 

We’ve started building, although don’t currently have enough to finish building we will soon have a place for small tea ceremonies and a larger session space, followed by a spa with sauna, cold plunge, hot tub, salt pool and a sun temple for sun bathing in a rose garden, with enough room to camp and throw overnight parties. 

So in this moment I have no idea how it’s all going to unfold but if you would like to book private sessions with me in Ubud (or online), you’re very welcome, while soon sessions will be given on this amazing land as we co-create it together.

Although I’m still directing the School - the School bought this land from how successful the work was. There has been some tension around investing everything “I” have and risking everything “I” made from the schools success, but I strongly feel that everything “I” make is made to be shared as in a higher truth, there is no “I”, and yet there must be this sense of individualism for the the collective “we” or the bigger “I” to grow. 

In one hand I keep ownership of it all so it can grow in safe hands, and in the other hand I know I don’t really own anything. 

When we truly love something we have to let it go, let it be free, and let it grow into what its meant to be. 

Integrated with nature.

The whole site is a permaculture project and ecological build.

Architect plans to complete a 180m2 shala, therapy, accommodation for around 18 people, a tree house and jungle forest and river walks on an additional 6,000m2 are all in the making.

Supporting local people

Although it’s early days we have good relations with the village. My friends cleaner from our village likes me and wanted me to build my school there, so she asked her brother to lease me his land. 

We’ve worked with the local children paying them to clean up all the plastic waste in their village twice now. We have one partnership with our neighbour to support his business, and we hope to support more local people to build their own successful, ethical and sustainable businesses that would serve our school and beyond. We plan to clean the local river, and restore access to and make the local waterfall safe again. And eventually we’d like to create a farming co-operative to make the whole village organic (especially the rice fields), giving farmers financial security in making the shift to organic and supporting them to find sale outlets. But this is all very far in the future. For now we’re employing as many local people as we can who would like to work with us to build the centre.
